Optimal Self-Organization
نویسنده
چکیده
We present computational and analytical results indicating that systems of driven entities with repulsive interactions tend to reach an optimal state associated with minimal interaction and minimal dissipation. Using concepts from non-equilibrium thermodynamics and game theoretical ideas, we generalize this finding to an even wider class of selforganizing systems which have the ability to reach a state of maximal overall “success”. This principle is expected to be relevant for driven systems in physics like sheared granular media, but it is also applicable to biological, social, and economic systems, for which only a limited number of quantitative principles are available yet. Self-Organization of the Neuron Collective of Optimal Complexity
The optimal complexity of neural networks is achieved when the self-organization principles is used to eliminate the contradictions existing in accordance with the K. Godel’s theorem about incompleteness of the systems based on axiomatics. The principle of S. Beer’s exterior addition the Heuristic Group Method of Data Handling by A. Ivakhnenko realized is used.
متن کاملSelf-Organizing Multilayered Neural Networks of Optimal Complexity
The principles of self-organizing the neural networks of optimal complexity is considered under the unrepresentative learning set. The method of self-organizing the multi-layered neural networks is offered and used to train the logical neural networks which were applied to the medical diagnostics.
متن کاملAn adaptive agent model for self-organizing MAS
Self-organizing multi-agent systems (MAS) use different mechanisms to mimic the adaptation exhibited by complex systems situated in unpredictable and dynamic environments. These mechanisms allow a collection of agents to spontaneously adapt their behavior towards an optimal organization. This paper presents a self-organization approach that exploits several selforganizing principles through an ...
متن کاملShoslif-o: Shoslif for Object Recognition and Image Retrieval (phase Ii)
We describe a self-organizing framework for content-based retrieval of images from large image databases. The SHOSLIF (Self-organizing Hierarchical Optimal Subspace Learning and Inference Framework) system uses the theories of optimal linear projection for automatic optimal feature selection and a hierarchical image database organization to achieve a logarithmic retrieval complexity. We use inc...
متن کاملOptimal Commitment and the Type of Temptation
The main purpose of this paper is to describe how different assumptions about temptation and self-control affect the optimal borrowing and saving contracts in a simple stochastic income setting. I find that the optimal savings plan when temptation is myopic consists of a mandatory minimum level of savings, while the optimal plan for farsighted temptation can have several fully restrictive manda...
متن کاملOptimal ternary formally self-dual codes
In this paper, we study ternary optimal formally self-dual codes. Bounds for the highest minimum weight are given for length up to 30 and examples of optimal formally self-dual codes are constructed. For some lengths, we have found formally self-dual codes which have a higher minimum weight than any self-dual code. It is also shown that any optimal formally self-dual [ 10,5,5] code is related t...
